On the 22nd of May, 2015, Osun State University hosted the first edition of the Life After Campus Seminar (LAC) at the TETFUND Hall, located on the Ikire Campus. It was attended by a large number of participants that cut across the staff and the students of the school.
Mrs. Fola Ogunsola presented a paper titled “The Current Challenges of Graduates unemployment” where she explained the lack of basic skills and wrong attitude in the average graduates making them unable to secure a job or inability to sustain such if gotten. She advised the students to start planning ahead now instead of loitering around during the vacations, they can go for holiday jobs or simply volunteer. She emphasized on attitude and packaging.
The Citation of Mr. Kehinde Oyeleke presented a paper titled “Optimising Your Status as a University Graduate”. In his presentation, he made the participants realized how much is expected of a graduate and how they can meet the expectations.
Mr. Ogunsola during his presentation advised the students about expanding their horizons and they should apply whatever they learnt in school positively to put food on their table and to better the lives of people in the society.
